BBC Strictlys Giovanni Pernice enjoys candlelit dinner with Rose Ayling-Ellis

Strictly Come Dancing winners Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice were reunited as the pair enjoyed a candlelit dinner.

The Italian-born professional dancer took to his Instagram Stories and shared a candid video of their evening out at the Royal Opera House this evening.

The 33 year old took a cheeky swipe at the former EastEnders actress, 28, who seemingly appeared taken aback by the jibe.

As the pair enjoyed a glass of champagne, Giovanni could be heard saying: “I’ll tell you what you should do. You should drink that…” he commented, pointing to the beverage.

Rose questioned: “Why?”

“Because you’ve got smelly breath,” he joked.

The pro dancer revealed that the actress had tucked into some onion soup while they enjoyed a meal together.

It’s clear the pair’s fun loving chemistry which won them so many fans was still intact as she jokingly breathed into her hand and later called for their server to provide her with some peppermint tea.

Rose, defending herself, said: “That’s peppermint. No onion soup anymore, it’s now olive breath.

Their reunion comes just two years after the dancing duo lifted the Glitterball Trophy in 2021.
