Bridgerton could run for eight seasons as creator of Netflix show says Daphne’s siblings have love stories

Bridgerton and its wealth of racy sex scenes is the new Netflix hit which has captured the attention of viewers.

And now those who have been tuning into the period drama, which made its debut on Christmas Day, can rejoice as creator Chris Van Dusen has teased that it could have a long lifespan of eight seasons.

"This being a family of eight children and there being eight books, I would love to be able to focus and really tell stories and love stories for all the Bridgerton siblings," he told Collider over the weekend, adding: "For each character, for sure. I would love that."

Chris went on to explain that the first season of the show was "primarily about Daphne and her love story with Simon", but there is so much more to explore within the world of Bridgerton.

Bridgerton was produced by Shonda Rhimes, who also had a helping hand in hit TV shows Gray’s Anatomy and Scandal.

Alongside the incredible cast, filming locations have caught the attention of viewers, with some noticing why some of the shots feel so familiar.

Much of the filming was done on location at Ranger’s House, a beautiful Georgian mansion house in Greenwich Park, London.

However, the scenes filmed inside Bridgerton House were shot in a stately home that viewers might recognise from The Crown as both dramas were filmed at Wilton House.

For Bridgerton, Wilton House was used to portray the residences of the Duke of Hastings, Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte.

In fact, Wilton House, which is located in Salisbury near Wiltshire, has been welcoming film crews for decades.

The 2019 film Emma starring Queen’s Gambit actress Anya Taylor Joy was also filmed at the home, as well as Emily Blunt’s Young Victoria.

The house boasts an impressive list of TV and film credits and was even used for the 1995 film Sense and Sensibility.

It's not just the locations that might seem familiar to viewers after some of the show's actors were recognised from their previous work.

Leading lady Pheobe Dynevor was clocked from her Waterloo Road days after she made her debut in the school based show when she was just 14 years old.

Another star of Bridgerton who viewers quickly recognised from another hit show is Violet Bridgerton, who plays the matriarch in the hit series.

The actress previously starred as Tracy Beaker's mum Carly, to the surprise of viewers.
