Carol Kirkwood, 59, has updated worried BBC Breakfast viewers after falling on live TV this morning. The weather presenter was left red-faced after she was dragged to the floor by a guide dog.
and neither of us got hurt.
The weather presenter recently returned to presenting on BBC Breakfast after taking a short holiday from the show.
This morning, she returned with a bang, being dragged to the floor by a guide dog, named Flash, live on air.
Carol informed her 210,000 Twitter followers about how she was doing since the mishap in a post this evening.
She said: “Flash is absolutely adorable (and neither of us got hurt)xxx.”
This was in response to the official Guide Dogs Twitter page’s post about the incident.
They tweeted: “And Flash is forgiven.
“Only to be expected that @carolkirkwood fell “head over heels” for our amazing trainee guide dog pup #RHSChelsea #GuideDogs90.”
Fans of the breakfast show were quick to message the weather presenter about the memorable moment.
PoppaReeves said: “Wonderful TV this morning.. Had me proper chuckling.”
Markey1960 added: “The consummate professional.. Got back and was smiling as you always do!”(sic)
Anne_mcevey replied: “Unpredictable dogs.
“Your response was brilliant. You are such a lady.” (sic)
Carol was joined by guide dog Flash, whilst giving her weather forecast from the Chelsea Flower Show.
The golden labrador ran off screen with Carol still holding the lead, dragging her to the floor.
All that was left on the screen was Carol’s legs.
Dan Walker, in the studio, could barely contain himself, exclaiming: “We’ve got a Kirkwood down, we’ve got a Kirkwood down, someone save Carol.”
The studio could be heard giggling away, whilst Carol composed herself to carry on with her weather report.
Taking to Twitter, BBC Breakfast’s official page also shared hilarious clip.
They captioned the post: “@carolkirkwood down!
“Flash the guide dog is running the show on #BBCBreakfast this morning.”
