In the shocking scenes, Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) were seen standing over a mystery dead body.
And this week Walford has been transformed, as a large tree was seen in the middle of the square as well as strings of festive fairy lights.
Outside the famous Queen Vic two large nutcrackers can be seen manning the doors of the pub.

EastEnders have been teasing a huge revelation during its Christmas episode where viewers will find out the identity of the dead body seen in The Vic.
The BBC soap made history in an episode back in February when they teased a flash forward, but the identity of the corpse and the killer were kept secret.
It is still over three months until fans will find out who the victim of the Christmas murder is however some viewers believe they are one step closer to finding out.
After this week’s episode so far, soap fans believe it will be Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) who falls victim to the killer.
Previously, fans were convinced that it will be Ian Beale who dies this Christmas.
Ian – portrayed by Adam Woodyatt – made a huge return to the BBC soap this summer, as he arrived in Walford alongside his wife Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
Since then, fans have been theorising who the dead body is on the floor of the Queen Vic on Christmas day.
But, scenes this week were packed with drama as Suki upped the stakes to try and bring down Ravi.

As the two met up in The Albert, Suki intended to record Ravi’s confession as he admitted to killing his adoptive father, Ranveer Gulati.
However a sudden phone call from the prison jeopardised her securing the evidence she needed as she received the news that her jailed son Kheerat (Jaz Deol) had been beaten up.
It consequently emerged that Ravi had orchestrated the attack yet Suki was undeterred by his threats, and headed to speak to Ravi’s former lover Denise for help, however she refused for fear of her and her family’s safety.
Fans took to Twitter after the episode to share their theories as they suggested Ravi will meet his ends in December.
One wrote: ‘Ravi is definitely dead at Christmas’, while another agreed ‘Ravi is gonna be the one that dies at Christmas it has to be’.
Another tweeted: ‘I’m FURIOUS. I want Ravi on the floor at Christmas. You think Suki is going to let this go.’
A fourth added: ‘Ravi getting Kheerat’s leg broken just to punish Suki is beyond cruel, she’s almost at breaking point.’
‘Ravi has had Kheerat legs broke because Suki tried to record a confession. Nasty piece of work. I hope it’s either Ravi or Nish on the floor (at Christmas). Both would be excellent twist’, wrote another.
Yet not all think it will be Ravi, as other’s suggested Nish, Keanu or Theo.

Soap boss Chris revealed back in February that the plans for the epic whodunnit have been in the pipe line for more than a year as he revealed tidbits of what is to come from the six scorned women in the spotlight.
Talking about Suki he said: ‘as the year progresses, Suki will uncover truths, and have her relationships tested but ultimately her biggest secret could push her to the extreme.’
Viewers will still have to wait nearly four months to see exactly what unfolds on the Christmas Day episode, with each of the women and the men in their lives set to undergo dramatic storylines that will explain the night’s drama.
