Ferne McCann in love with Fintys nursery after amending upside down wallpaper faux pas
Ferne McCann has said she's "in love" with her baby daughter's nursery after amending a huge wallpaper faux pas.
The former TOWIE star, 32, and her fiancé, Lorri Haines, welcomed their first child together, Finty, on July 6 following a home birth at their Essex pad. Ferne also has a daughter, Sunday, from a previous relationship.
Shortly after welcoming her second child into the world, Ferne invited OK! into their Essex home to introduce Finty and give a tour of her daughter's newly decorated bedroom.
However, during the tour, Ferne candidly opened up about a wallpaper blunder that was unfixable ahead of the shoot.
She said: "I knew we were doing this OK! shoot and I thought let's get it [the nursery] done. The wallpaper… I'll let you in to a little secret. Don't look too close. It's meant to be a mural where it goes across, but the guy who came and did the wallpaper hung it upside down.
"Yesterday I was pulling my hair out. I just wanted to get it done so it looked lovely for this shoot!"
But the TV star has now amended the upside down wallpaper and is delighted with the results.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday to show off the finished look with her 2.9m followers, the mum of two shared a video and gushed: "We absolutely love Finty’s new wallpaper for her nursery! (The Early Light mural in neutral) From I Love Wallpaper… adding to the tranquil atmosphere that we aimed to create in this special space.
"I Love Wallpaper have a huge selection of affordable designs especially for nurseries & children’s rooms. I really can’t recommend them enough. The perfect finish to our sacred space."
As the video panned around the nursey Ferne expressed it was now her "favourite room in the house" which is "calming" and now "loves nothing more than feeding Finty" in there.
The video went on to show details of the nursery including the floating balloons, a giraffe picture, some macramé art and a sweet bookshelf, not to mention the cloud wallpaper that has now been hung correctly.
Lorri and Ferne chose not to find out the sex of their baby, which meant they opted for a very neutral colour scheme, consisting of beiges and creams, with hints of green introduced by plants.
The TV star said she considered adding touches of pink to the nursery after they found out their baby was a girl.
She said: "Finty wasn't even meant to be here – she obviously arrived a week early, so we rushed to get it [the nursery] done. Then when she was here, I was like, 'Should we start adding pops of pink?' But I'm really pleased we just went with creams and beiges."
