Kevin Costner blasts Christine Baumgartner's 'outrageous' demands
Kevin Costner’s Hollywood lawyer blasts his ex-wife Christine’s ‘outrageous’ demand that Yellowstone star pay her $885K bill for legal fees
- Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage and three kids
- She is battling the actor and director over their prenup and the amount of child support he will pay her
- A judge recently slashed her monthly support payment from $248K to $63K
Kevin Costner’s Hollywood lawyer Laura Wasser is blasting her client’s ex Christine Baumgartner, for asking him to pay a whopping $885K in legal fees.
The 49-year-old Baumgartner – who was recently ordered to pay a $14K sanction – filed a request with a judge to get her 68-year-old ex to pay $885K for her lawyers fees… to argue just one sole issue in divorce court.
The issue at hand is whether her, ‘waiver of spousal support is enforceable,’ according to TMZ, though Wasser claims the ask is, ‘nothing short of outrageous.’
Wasser claims that, based on hourly rates, Baumgartner’s lawyers would have to rack up 1,106 billable hours to justify that amount.
The ask is seemingly even more outrageous since Wasser contends a judge has already agreed the prenup is enforcable.

Back in early July, a judge enforced one provision of the prenup, which stated that in the event of a divorce, Baumgartner had a certain number of days to vacate the family home.
Baumgartner contended she, ‘will move in due course, but this is a major undertaking and can only be accomplished with careful planning.’
The judge did not agree, enforcing that provision and meaning she had until July 31 to vacate the home she shared with Costner.
That ruling ultimately could mean that the entire prenup is enforceable, which could be another big loss for Baumgartner.
Wasser stated that Costner has already shelled out $300K for her legal fees, and added that she allegedly took over $105K from his accounts for her legal team.
Baumgartner has apparently already lost more in her legal battles than what she would have gotten had she settled with her ex.
She originally asked for a whopping $248K a month in child support for their three kid, Cayden Wyatt, 15, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13.
Costner and his lawyers rejected that amount and said the proper number should be $63K a month.

Costner also offered to pay $75K a month, which Baumgartner rejected, before a judge ruled that $63K a month was the proper amount.
