Little Mix fans have been left convinced they can hear Jesy Nelson on the group's new single — their first since the star quit.
Jesy, 29, announced in December 2020 that she had decided to leave the chart-topping band after nine years, citing mental health reasons.
After taking a few months to adjust to life as a trio, Perrie Edwards, 27, Jade Thirlwall, 28, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, have returned with a re-worked version of Confetti, lifted from their album of the same name.
Despite Perrie and Jade sharing the opening verse, which Jesy originally performed, fans of the X Factor winners still think she is on the track.
During the first chorus of the song, which features US rapper Saweetie, a voice sounding similar to Jesy's is heard singing: "Drop it down."
Fans rushed to Twitter following the song's release, with many refusing to believe the Odd One Out documentary maker's vocals had entirely been removed.
One fan wrote: "WAIT they kept Jesy's 'drop it down' hmm interesting," as a second said: "THEY KEEP JESY's 'DROP IT DOWN' NOOO YESSSSSS I'M CRYING!!!!"
A third commented: "If you listen well for minute one, in one part you hear 'drop it down' and if you compare it with the original it is Jesy's voice."
Another wrote: "I really missed Jesy, but they didn't remove the 'Drop it Down' that she sang."
With a final fan asking: "Did anyone else notice they kept Jesy's 'drop it down' bit in the song or am I tripping?"

However, the song's producer MNEK denied that he had left Jesy's vocals on the track when asked by a fan.
The fan asked the musician: "did you keep some of Jesy's vocals as adlibs? cause specially the 'drop it down' and 'oh na na na' sound a bit like her."
Heart & Heart hitmaker MNEK simply replied: "Nope," but fans are still having a hard time believing him.
Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne opened up on Jesy's departure from the group in an interview on Capital Breakfast on Friday morning.
Jade told host Roman Kemp: "I think, you know, if someone's heart isn't in it anymore and they don't wanna do it, we're never gonna force each other to do something we don't wanna do.
"We supported that decision and it was very strange, thinking about doing this as a three. But we weren't ready to give it up, so, we support whatever Jesy's decision is."
