Love Islands Billy Brown reveals hes back at normal job – weeks after leaving villa
Whilst Love Island can often be the springboard to huge modelling contracts and life as a multimillionaire, this year's Billy Brown has proved he's still down to earth, as he's returned to his former job as a builder – weeks after leaving the villa.
The 23 year old roofing director from Surrey took to Instagram to show off his manual skills as he hammered a brick wall, dressed in a black T-shirt and hardwearing trousers.
Billy certainly ruffled a few feathers whilst he was in the Love Island villa, after he entered alongside five other guys during the Casa Amor section of the show and took a shine to Michael Owen's daughter Gemma, 19.
There seemed to be a spark between the two, but Gemma – who was coupled up with 23 year old Luca Bish – insisted it was just "banter", however Billy has since implied there was something more.
During an appearance on Capital FM radio since leaving the villa, Billy was asked by Roman Kemp if there was a lot more between Billy and Gemma that viewers didn't see.
Billy replied: "Yeah definitely. Just all the flirting, like you haven't seen it all…they've [the producers] let her off lightly".
Ronan Keating's son Jack, 23, who entered Casa Amor alongside Billy, claimed that the pair "vibed big time" and that there was "more going on".
Gemma set the record straight on rumours of a romance between her and Billy as she told Cosmopolitan : “There was a rumour about me and Billy knowing each other before the show, or there was something more [between us] on the show that people didn't get to see.
“I'd like to set straight that that is not true. I made it very clear to Billy that it was just a friendship thing and that my eyes were only for Luca.”
When Jack made his claims about there being "more going on" between them, he said to theDaily Star: "From what I saw in our villa in Casa Amor, I know Billy and Gemma got on really well.
"I know that he came back into the main villa, with Movie Night, and things got very awkward between the three of them. But those two definitely vibed big time."
Gemma stuck with Luca and the pair came in second place during the final of this year's show, and they finally became "official" a month after leaving the villa as Luca put on an epic rose and candle-filled set up where he asked her to be his girlfriend.
Billy found himself at the centre of more drama when he coupled up with Danica Taylor, 21, before telling the boy Islanders that he and Danica had been intimate.
He then chose to snub Danica during a game of Snog, Marry, Pie, and instead chose to kiss Gemma Owen and marry Paige Thorne, 24, with Danica later bursting into tears.
Danica and Bill then had a huge bust up in which Danica called Billy a "pig".
