Michelle Heaton shares haunting throwback to ruined face in depths of addiction

Michelle Heaton has shared a graphic photo of herself 20 weeks ago in a candid Instagram post, to mark National Recovery Month.
In the photo, Michelle has bloodshot eyes and looks significantly different to the photo from the present day, which she has shared alongside it.
The former Liberty X singer went to rehab in April to receive treatment for alcohol and cocaine addiction, but the star is now feeling "so proud of herself" after celebrating 100 days sober.
The star is at rock bottom in the photo taken 20 weeks ago, and she has puffy eyes and yellow marks on her t-shirt.
Michelle, 42, wrote: "20 weeks ago this was me – Ruined – immune system was shutting down.
"The second is me today – Saved – strong happy healthy. It’s National Sober Day And it encourages us to celebrate Sober life and bring awareness to addiction."
"Today I am stronger mentally and physically better then I’ve ever been. One day at a time."
Many of the stars fans and friends congratulated her on the incredible progress, with one writing: "Proud of you each and every day."
Another said: "Omg wow u have come such a long way with strength and dignity … just amazing babes congrats … just amazing!!!"
The former Liberty X singer attended the National Television Awards alongside her husband Hugh Hanley and exclusively told OK! how she was feeling about being back on a red carpet.
Michelle said: "I feel light and free. It's [Sobrierty] not an easy road, but it's certainly the better road.
"I'm just really proud of myself and so proud of my husband for being there for me every step of the way."
"It's just been amazing, and life is good," she added.
Michelle looked sensational with her partner Hugh by her side as she wore a red gown while her husband wore a matching red tie with his black suit for the event.
Earlier that day, the singer revealed she was "full of anxiety" and while she would normally "drink on those emotions", tonight the star said she is proud to be clean and sober.
While sharing snaps of her gorgeous red Hollywood glam gown, she said: "Tonight is our first red carpet event together in a very long time.
"I’m really nervous and full of anxiety – I would drink on those emotions. But today I am not. Today I am 134 days clean and sober and I will be with my husband, my best friend and my rock @hughhanley who gives me so much strength."
Michelle explained: "I’m so proud to be at the #ntas with @ok_mag flying the flag for those in recovery."
