Myleene Klass daughters scholarship to Princess Andres grades as celeb parents share GCSE results
Thousands of students received their GCSE results today, and among them were Myleene Klass's daughter and Princess Andre.
Myleene shared a heartwarming video as she supported her daughter Ava, who raced back to the car to open her GCSE results alongside her musician mum.
Opening the envelope, Ava squealed in excitement before hugging the former Hear'Say singer who broke down in tears after learning that her daughter had secured a music scholarship.
The video shared on Instagram followed the girls as they arrived home where Myleene's fiancé, Simon Motson, was celebrating with two sparklers before family hugs were enjoyed all round.
Myleene wrote in the caption: "Smashed it Bear. @pianos_our_forte. Proud of you, you got your scholarship. (Blink and you’ll miss me ugly crying [laughing face emoji]. The frame is Snoopy’s special frame where his top pictures go. He put Ava’s results in it. [crying face emoji])
She added: "Thank you, THANK YOU to our ‘village.’" The video was accompanied by the song Unstoppable by Sia.
Recognising that exams can be challenging, Myleene later shared a supportive message and wrote: "To those who didn't get what they wanted, I won't dismiss (as so many do including those in our own government who set the curriculum) that they don't matter, to you, they may do.
"Exams however are not for everyone. I can't imagine my own children (who are so different) being tested in the same way and getting the same results.
"The pressure of exams might help those looking for certain jobs test their metal but for others, it's the work ethic behind them or the introduction to certain aspects of various subjects that will guide and mould them.
"YOU decide who you are. The letters on the page don't define you but the heart and action behind them counts. If you tried your hardest, THAT is enough.
"The jobs you'll end up in probably don't even exist yet. YOU write the script."
Meanwhile, Princess Andre revealed her results during a live Instagram in the company of her famous dad, Peter Andre.
In the video, the 16 year old who is also the daughter of Katie Price told fans that she had passed three of her seven exams, after failing to achieve higher than a grade four in the other subjects.
Princess, who is already signed to fashion brand PrettyLittleThing went on to explain that you need to obtain at least a grade four in order to pass the exam, while the highest mark is a nine.
Talking about her results Princess said: "I didn't pass all of them, but it's fine, because I passed some of them! Apparently grade boundaries were really high this year."
While her doting dad said: "I'm proud of you, I think you worked your butt off. You know what, you worked really hard. saw you working hard, which to me is more important".
Princess secured a 3 in business, a 3 in drama, a 5 in English, a 6 in fashion, a 4 in music, a 3 in geography and a 3 in maths.
Reflecting on her marks, she said: "I need to resit maths. I got 89 but I needed 98 out of 200 to pass maths. I think a four is a C."
Peter added: "I can't speak for every parent, but seeing you work hard is all I need. Look what you got in English!"
"I was bottom set so the best mark you can get it a 5," Princess replied.
The Mysterious Girl singer drove his daughter to school to collect the results and beforehand took a video as she waited for her friends to arrive so they could collect them together.
Peter asked Princess: "How are you feeling?" to which she replied: "Fine!"
Stacey Solomon was among the celebrity parents sharing well wishes on results day as she revealed her husband Joe Swash's son Harry was expecting his grades.
Taking to Instagram the mum of five wrote: "Just wanted to say a massive good luck to everyone receiving their GCSE results today. Please remember this. These result don't define you. No matter what. You can be ANYTHING you want to be. There's other ways. You are enough and exams do not determine who you can become… Well done for doing your best. THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS. You're amazing…"
She added: "A special good luck to Joe's biggest boy today. We are all so proud of you whatever the results."
While Channel 5 presenter Dan Walker revealed his eldest child, Susanna, was expecting her results today and said it was his first time experiencing the day as a parent.
He said on social media: "All the best to everyone getting their GCSE results today… and big love to the parents involved (I am one of them for the first time)."
