Olivia and Alex Bowen have picked baby names as they share first-time parent nerves

Olivia Bowen and Alex Bowen have revealed that they have already picked baby names as they prepare to become first-time parents this summer.

The Love Island stars Olivia, 28, and Alex, 30, have also admitted that as well as being "excited" they are both "very nervous" too.

It's also an exciting time for the couple, who announced back on New Year's Day this year they are expecting their first child, as Alex is currently on his DJ tour.

Here, OK! catches up with the loved-up couple…

Alex, is your DJ tour something you have always dreamed of doing and what sort of music do you do?

Alex: I've been learning to DJ for probably around four years and I’ve started to produce my own tracks which has been a steep learning curve. I play tech house and minimal, which isn't everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve been listening to this music since I was 17, it's ingrained in me – so to be touring now doing my own sets and playing my own music is just incredible.

Where are you most excited to perform and how does it feel to be doing something you love?

Alex: I'm actually lining up at the moment a gig in Ibiza which would be amazing, this island does it best! Olivia and I have been going to Ibiza for years so to be back playing there in front of such an electric crowd, would be unreal.

Will Olivia be attending any of the gigs?

Alex: She's gutted to be missing them at the moment being pregnant! We've been to so many gigs and festivals abroad over the years, so she really is my number one fan. I’m sure when the baby is here she'll be able to sneak the odd one in – our mums can't wait for baby-sitting duties!

Is there anything else on your bucket list or DJ career you'd love to achieve?

Alex: There are so many sick places I would love to play, maybe headline festivals etc! Another move I've been planning for a while now is to DJ alongside my good friend Joey London, who is the one who began teaching me to play. We've played loads of gigs together and we are actually debuting under a new alias called '2cities' – we'll be producing tracks and playing gigs together. I hope our tracks get heard and played by some of the DJs we look up to rate, that would be a huge tick off the bucket list.

It's such an exciting time as you're also preparing to become first-time parents – Olivia, how are you feeling and have you had any funny cravings?

Olivia: I’ve been actually really good, I feel very lucky and grateful to have had a very smooth pregnancy so far, I’m still very active and enjoying it! Which to be honest I didn’t think I would, I was always so worried about how I would feel. My cravings are just everything beige – chips, bread, pasta – I need it all!

How are you feeling about being first-time parents and have you got any name ideas?

Olivia: We're both so excited, all Alex says to me is: 'When’s the baby coming, can they hurry up?' I'm like: 'Alex its still cooking, just be patient', haha! Obviously, we are very nervous too, it’s such a new world we’re stepping into, but we feel very ready for this part of our lives. We do have names, one boy name and two girl names – but obviously they’re a secret for now!

Obviously you want to keep the gender a surprise, but do you have any guesses as to whether it’s a boy or girl?

Olivia: I wish I could say to you that we have a feeling of what the baby will be but we both have no clue! We go through stages of accidentally saying 'he' or 'she', but it changes all the time! I'm not one that believes in old wives’ tales either or shape of bump etc. so we really are clueless on gender! We aren’t bothered we just want the baby here safe and sound.

What things are you excited to do as a family?

Olivia: Alex keeps saying he’s so excited to go to Disney and Harry Potter World, this may be my first baby but I honestly already have a big kid and it's him haha! We just can’t wait for days out, I want to go to a petting zoo so bad! We're also planning to take baby to Barbados back to our favourite villa, it’s our favourite place in the world so to take baby Bowen there will be magical!

What have you got coming up this year or hoping to do in 2022?

Olivia: I mean everything is all about baby Bowen this year! Alex has his DJ tour which is going really well and he wants to continue to do well with that this year. I'm just focusing on staying healthy, cooking this baby and keeping busy with my fave brands.
