Phillip offers ex-best friend Holly support amidst kidnap threat ordeal

The star has been swamped with messages of support from famous pals, including Phillip Schofield who contacted her to offer words of comfort. It ends months of silence after his exit from This Morning.

A source close to Phillip, 61, said: “He was horrified to hear she was targeted in such a sickening way and decided to reach out. They have so much history and you wouldn’t wish this on your worst enemy.”

Holly, 42, is said to have been “really happy” to hear from Phillip.

It has been reported that she is now on “indefinite leave” from This Morning following her ordeal.

A source said: “Holly has been left distraught. This has been an absolutely horrible week for her. There has been no discussion about when, or if, she will return to the This Morning sofa.”

On Friday Gavin Plumb, 36, of Harlow, Essex, was charged with soliciting a man to commit murder, and incitement to commit kidnap.
