Rylan Clark posts cryptic message about not forgiving people months after marriage split

Rylan Clark has posted a cryptic message about "not forgiving people", months after his split from husband, Dan Neal.

Following a whirlwind of speculation last year, Rylan confirmed that he and husband Dan had "separated" – and he took four months away from work to mend his heartbreak.

On Wednesday morning, the 33 year old took to his Instagram account with a quote from actor Tom Hardy, which revealed his current frame of mind.

"Tom Hardy once said: So being so f***ing forgiving with everybody and letting s*** slide every time," the quote read. "People know exactly what the f*** they are doing."

Rylan simply captioned the post: "Word".

2021 had been a tumultuous year for Rylan, who revealed he and his husband Dan had split.

He took some extended time off work, later telling Lorraine he "wasn't good" and "needed" that time for himself.

"I wasn't good. I'm not gonna lie; I think everybody knows that. I'm normally on telly every five minutes – I apologise you have to see my mug all the time," he said.

"I had four months off, and it was needed, it's been 10 years now I've been doing this job nearly, which is crazy. So maybe the time off is exactly what I needed."

He also told The Sun that he got "dangerously thin" after the break-up, but has since overhauled his lifestyle.

He said: "I got ill and I lost weight, I went down to under ten stone — and I'm six feet four inches, so that's not good.

"The honest truth is that it's been s**t. I didn't deal with what happened, and now I am. I felt unwell and it was a very difficult time for me."

Rylan also explained how his mum Linda had been his rock throughout the breakup.

He said: "My mum was majorly worried about me, as were all my family. I don't just disappear for four months — that doesn't just happen.

"Mum has been a lifesaver to me, and one of my biggest regrets of this year was putting my mum through me not being well.

"I needed to get back to me."

Rylan and Dan met on the 14th series of Big Brother when Dan was a contestant on the show and interviewed on the spin-off Big Mouth after his eviction.

Dan popped the question a year later during a trip to Paris and the pair married in 2015.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Dan is planning to launch a new dating show called Dates With Mates.
