'Stranger Things' Fans Are Threatening to Revolt If Steve Harrington Is Killed Off the Show

Warning: This post contains mild spoilers for the first half of Stranger Things season 4—proceed at your own risk.

Today in Things People on Twitter Currently Care About, we bring you Steve Harrington (played brilliantly by Joe Keery) from Stranger Things. Because people care about Steve. A lot. And for multiple reasons. He’s a fan favorite character. He’s had a strong growth arc. He can wear TF out of a yellow sweatshirt. In other words, Steve is a whole vibe. In other words: If Steve Harrington becomes part of the Stranger Things body count, people are going to be irate. Fans started tweeting their outrage at the very idea of losing Steve pretty much immediately, since things get very dangerous very quickly in Hawkins in season 4, which picks up about six months after the Battle of Starcourt.

And those worries for Steve’s safety were proven valid near the end of the first half of the season, when Steve gets badly, badly injured while searing for an opening to the Upside Down. Let’s pause here to make it clear that STEVE IS STILL CURRENTLY ALIVE AND OKAY and that deserves a moment of rejoicing.
