WEMAs: Vernon Kay makes fake proposal to Tess Daly

Tess Daly has reportedly been told by husband Vernon Kay “not to change” after she previously opened up hating her nose.

The 54-year-old admitted she wasn’t keen on her nose after she broke it while playing netball when she was 15.

The mum-of-two said she would love to have it corrected but is worried about how it would look after surgery.

A source has now told Closer: “Vernon knows how amazing she is – he’s told her she doesn’t need to do anything to change, and especially not surgery.”

This comes after the pair left their fans excited and emotional in October after celebrating a major milestone.

Tess marked her husband’s 100th show anniversary at BBC Radio 2 by making a sweet gesture to him on Instagram.

The presenter shared a rare snap of them out together at a swanky bar enjoying what appeared to be a date night.

Smiling broadly, she looked stunning in a one-shoulder black dress, while her husband, 49, looked pleased seated alongside her looking smart as he matched in black.

She captioned the snap shared with her 840,000 Instagram followers: “Congrats on 100 shows to @vernonkay @bbcradio2.”

Fans were quick to share their congratulations, with one writing: “I nearly cried when you all did your congratulations on the radio… Definitely filled Ken’s shoes and more!”

Another wrote: “I love how emotional Vernon became after hearing his dad.” A third commented: “He’s the best. Makes my mornings at work a joy.”

The couple got married in 2003 at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Horwich, near Bolton.

They share two daughters, Phoebe Elizabeth Kay, 18, and 14-year-old Amber Isabella Kay.

Vernon and BBC star Tess celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this year, marking a huge milestone in their relationship.

To mark the momentous occasion which happened last month, Tess also took to Instagram to pay tribute to her husband.

She shared four photos of the pair together, including throwback images of their wedding and them celebrating their special day with flowers and cake.
