Sir Tom, 80, earned a reputation for wowing women with his moves and vocals, with many tossing their underwear and room keys on stage. The singer, talking on US radio station SiriusXM, said that while the attention was nice, it upset him that it distracted from his talent. When asked about following up on offers of hotel room liaisons, he laughed: “Well I think you’d burn yourself out, you know, if you tried to live up to your reputation.
“You couldn’t do it unless you were a Superman.”
