Tommy Fury says Molly-Mae is holding down the fort as he moves out of family home
Ahead of Tommy Fury’s upcoming boxing match with KSI, the father of one gushed over his family back home and said Molly-Mae is “holding down the fort” as he knuckles down with a strict training routine.
Tommy was asked in his latest interview if he found it difficult to balance his training, and being away from his family for long periods of time. The professional boxer replied with: “Not when you’ve got a good missus.”
Tommy pointed out that not everyone else would receive the same level of support from his family for leaving for so long, before he said: “But Molly’s honestly a star, obviously got my lovely, beautiful Bambi at home, and she’s doing everything a mother you know should do when the male is away”.
Tommy continued: “And she’s holding down the fort for me. And it’s amazing, she lets me train clear mind, she’s always there, she’s a good support system. Yeah she’s amazing.”.
To help prepare for his next fight, Tommy moved out of his home which he shares with Molly and seven month old daughter Bambi.
Molly explained on her YouTube channel that Tommy has now gone into his “official camp” where he “has essentially now moved out of the house for a long time”.
She added that he would “probably” need to be away for around two months and that, while Tommy would prefer to “train at home”, he wants to be as prepared as possible for the fight, and that he takes his boxing career extremely “seriously.”
Tommy and KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, are set to go head to head on 14 October 2023 – and it’s tipped to be one of the most watched boxing events of the year.
As Tommy gears up to head back into the ring, he’s certainly not afraid to trash-talk his opponent.
The reality star insists that he’ll knock out KSI, 30, “inside four rounds” and even joked that the clash – which will be held in Manchester – would be “easy money” for him.
Things are certainly heating up in the boxing world, as Tommy’s dad John Fury started flipping tables during a pre-fight press conference after Logan Paul brought out a giant birthday cake bearing the image of Tommy.
So far, Tommy has won all nine of his professional boxing matches.
