William and Kate pictured at Charles’s 75th birthday bash – as Harry ‘calls King’

Prince William and Kate Middleton were seen leaving King Charles's 75th birthday party late last night, 14 November.

The Royal couple, along with Princess Beatrice and Zara and Mike Tindall, seemed to have had a great time at the bash held at Clarence House, with Kate seen looking stunning in green as she sat next to William in their car.

Other royals like Princess Eugenie, Sarah Chatto and Viscount Linley, and Princess Alexandra were also said to have been at the glitzy bash.

Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, were absent from the event, but it's reported that Harry called his father on his milestone birthday – which is thought to be a "turning point" in their relationship.

This is believed to be the first time the father and son have spoken since April, just before his coronation.

The Telegraph reports that the Duke of Sussex surprised his "Pa" with a phone call after months of minimal contact. Meghan is also reported to have spoken to Charles during the call.

Insiders say this was likely a pleasant surprise for the monarch, who hadn't heard from Harry in quite some time.

The publication also reported that Harry and Meghan's children – Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two – sang 'Happy Birthday' to the monarch in a sweet birthday message.

Earlier on his birthday, Charles was sent a special message from Prince William and Kate Middleton via social media.

The post was shared with the couple's 14.9 million followers and contained three images of the monarch over the years, with a caption reading: "Wishing His Majesty The King a very happy 75th birthday!"

The first photo shows Charles posing for a photograph with Prince William during a skiing trip to Klosters in 2004 – the same trip where he was first introduced to his future daughter-in-law.

King Charles spent his landmark birthday working as usual, including a visit to the South Oxford Food and Education Alliance (SOFEA) in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

Joined by Queen Camilla, looking elegant in a green coat and black cape, he toured the SOFEA warehouse and offices and he marked his 75th birthday by launching a new food waste initiative.

Baroness Louise Casey, who is assisting with his Coronation Food Project, asked if he would mind being serenaded. The King appeared shy as everyone joined in, including his wife who clapped enthusiastically at the end.

Baroness Casey expressed her delight, saying: "We are beyond delighted about it. It is such an honour for us and support for the project just wouldn't have happened without you. We are incredibly grateful to you," The Coronation Food Project was inspired and devised by the King, who has been vocal in his concerns about food waste.
