It’s been nearly two months since the release of Olivia Rodrigo‘s song “vampire.”

The first single off of her second album GUTS was another smash added to her roster of hit songs.

She then followed it up with the second single “bad idea right?”

However, since the release of “vampire,” the song has of course been dissected and studied, and many have found that it has some similar sounds to another former Disney Channel star.

Find out what people think inside…

TikTok user @helloitseila shared a video, writing, “Me, a millenial, realizing why this song sounded familiar,” with her singing a mash up of “vampire” with Miley Cyrus‘ “See You Again.”

The parts where she draws the similarities are in the bridge of Olivia‘s and the chorus of Miley‘s.

“You said it was true love, but wouldn’t that be hard? You can’t love anyone ’cause that would mean you had a heart,” she starts singing from Olivia‘s song, then immediately transitions to, “The next time we hang out, I will redeem myself, my heart can’t rest ’til then, ooh woah woah, I, I can’t wait to see you again.”

Her comments were then filled with people agreeing with her, and even many that thanked her for pointing it out, as they couldn’t quite put their finger on it. There were even some thinking there are similarities between “vampire” and “Beggin’ On Your Knees” by Victoria Justice from Victorious!

One commenter said, “and I’m not mad about it. Olivia is talented and all the pop girlies before her did this too. ??”

Eila responded, “Agreed! Artists have all been inspired by someone and there’s bound to be similarities! Makes for a good mashup remix at least haha”

Check out Eila’s mashup and listen to the three songs to see if you can hear it too…
