Fiona Phillips admitted she feels guilty for putting pressure on her husband.<\/p>\n
The 62-year-old praised her spouse Martin Frizell, 64, who is also the editor of ITV’s This Morning saying he has stepped up since she received her diagnosis.<\/p>\n
“He\u2019s been amazing”, she told The Mirror. “One of the things that has happened to me is that I\u2019ve lost all interest in cooking and food.”<\/p>\n
She continued: “I used to like that but now when Martin gets home from work he\u2019ll cook. I do feel a bit guilty because it\u2019s another pressure on him but I just can\u2019t be bothered.<\/p>\n
“There are some days I can\u2019t be bothered to do anything. It\u2019s partly this malaise that I\u2019m in I suppose.”<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The presenter married Martin in 1997 after the pair had been colleagues at GMTV.<\/p>\n The couple share two sons – Nathaniel, born in 1998, and Mackenzie, born in 2002.<\/p>\n Fiona has had a range of presenting roles with ITV from 1993 to 2008 and has also filled in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled programme in the years since ITV took it over.<\/p>\n Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease that causes mild memory loss in its early stages.<\/p>\n In late-stage Alzheimer’s, individuals lose the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to their environment.<\/p>\n
