It seems like Amy Dowden and Dianne Buswell have a fantastic relationship away from the ballroom of Strictly Come Dancing, and were spotted holding hands after the Pride of Britain Awards at the weekend.

Dressed in an eye-catching pink dress in tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the 33-year-old choreographer looked ecstatic to be on a night out for a good cause with her pal, 34, who accompanied Amy and another individual in the taxi ride home.

The pair enjoyed a reunion of sorts the night prior, too, as the Welsh dancer stopped by the Strictly live show to read the audience voting terms and conditions. Here, she embraced her bald scalp for the first time on television as Amy's cancer treatment reached the halfway point.

Logging onto Instagram after her heartwarming cameo, Amy wrote: "There are no words to describe the pure joy and happiness I felt last night being back with my @bbcstrictly family. It is their love and support that gave me the courage to decide last minute to step out and brave the bald.

"Not saying it was easy and I still miss my long hair dearly but gosh did it feel liberating and it’s breast cancer awareness month which gave me that extra push to do it."

Alluding to the fans who've reached out amidst her cancer journey, she added on the remodelled social platform X: "It's messages like the above which is why I use my platform to raise awareness, and hopefully give others confidence #baldisbeautful.

"Can't wait to back there with the strictly family again soon."

Back in August, the star shared pictures from her first course of chemotherapy – strapped into a cold cap while wrapped up in hospital blankets.

"Chemo 1 done! I looked worse going in than coming out actually," began Amy's caption. "I didn’t sleep, I got there and I just burst into tears, luckily my pink sister made sure I walked in and helped me through it and distracted from the brain freeze of the cold cap…

"I’ve left knowing chemo 1 done and not as bad as I thought. This is due to the incredible team and nurses! Thank you NHS! Hopefully not too many side affects. One step closer to being back on the dance floor. (That’s what’s hurting the most right now, I’d do anything to be there with my fellow pros right now). But for now chemo 1."

Apparently, Amy's initial response to the idea of chemotherapy was to "refuse it", but a reality check with her ex-dance teacher after freezing her embryos changed her mind.

In an interview with The Mirror, she recalled: "She gave me tough love and said, 'What’s the point of these embryos if you’re not going to have chemo? Because you won’t be around to have these babies anyway.'"

On her reservations, Amy revealed: "I thought that’s Strictly with a partner wiped out, that’s my hair gone, that’s my life gone. I was like, I don’t want to do that. I was pretty
