TMZ reported that the couple tied the knot earlier on October 7 in Los Angeles after getting a marriage license in September in San Diego County.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And what’s more, the rock royalty had a musical icon act as the celebrant on the day – REM frontman – Michael Stipe.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Michael is also Frances’ godfather, and her godmother is Drew Barrymore.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Frances and Riley have been dating since at least January 2021… and it’s her second marriage, although his first.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Frances’ mother is Hole frontwoman Courtney Love. Her father, Nirvana frontman Kurt died in April 1994, from\u00a0a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.<\/p>\n
Rumors that Frances and Riley were dating first began on Reddit, where one user posted a photo of them out at dinner together with his parents, Tony and Catherine.<\/p>\n
As word began to trickle out, people started to share their comments, which for the most part were supportive.<\/p>\n
‘If they had a child, their grandparents would be two of the largest icons from the nineties. Insane,’ wrote one person.<\/p>\n
‘OK this is legitimately good news for humanity,’ another commenter shared.<\/p>\n
And one person seem to sum up the sentiments by posting: ‘Daughter of the most nineties dude ever is dating the son of the second most nineties dude ever.’<\/p>\n

In 2019, Frances’ mother, Courtney Love, demanded that Frances’ ex-husband Isaiah undergo a psychiatric evaluation.<\/p>\n
The request was related to a complex legal battle between Love, Frances, and Silva, regarding an acoustic guitar the late Kurt Cobain strummed during one of Nirvana’s appearances on MTV: Unplugged.<\/p>\n
Silva ended up with possession of the instrument after his divorce was settled with Frances.<\/p>\n
Courtney and Frances have been ready to hold up their case against Silva.<\/p>\n
‘Kurt would not want this and Courtney will not allow any of it,’ a family source told Page Six .<\/p>\n
‘Frances and the family are prepared to fight with a fury of unprecedented legal force and they will prevail.’<\/p>\n
