Sci-fi, fantasy and superhero fans with some extra cash burning a hole in their pockets will have a chance to take home some iconic genre items next month.<\/p>\n
Julien’s Auctions will debut its Robots, Wizards, Heroes & Aliens: Contemporary Hollywood Auction from December 14-17.<\/p>\n
The centerpiece of the auction will be an original ‘hero’ mechanical animatronic head used in the 1982 classic E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, created by Carlo Rambaldi.<\/p>\n
A full animatronic E.T. model previously sold at Julien’s Auction\u00a0for $2.5 million, with this original head expected to fetch between $800,000 and $1 million.<\/p>\n
There will also be items from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics movies, Harry Potter and much more going under the hammer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Batman Returns:\u00a0There will also be a number of items going on the block as part of Warner Bros.’ 100 year anniversary celebration, including a film-worn costume from 1992’s Batman Returns<\/p>\n
One of the other top-dollar items expected to fetch in the mid-six-figures is the Model B-9 ‘The Robot’ from the iconic 1960s TV series Lost in Space.<\/p>\n
This is one of just two full-scale models of the robot that was made for the show’s three season run, which is still functional and one of the rarest artifacs from the era.<\/p>\n
The model is expected to be sold between $300,000 and $500,000, one of the most expensives items going up for bidding.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There will also be a number of items going on the block as part of Warner Bros.’ 100 year anniversary celebration, including a film-worn costume from 1992’s Batman Returns.<\/p>\n

A bowcaster used by Chewbacca in the iconic film series will also be up for auction though no estimate was given.\u00a0<\/p>\n
