The Rolling Stones are creating a new record by playing in front of the oldest crowds in rock \u2019n\u2019 roll history.<\/p>\n
All sixteen concerts are being sponsored by AARP \u2013 formerly known as the American Association of Retired Persons \u2013 whose 38 million members are being offered the chance to buy up to eight tickets each before they go on general sale.<\/p>\n
A stampede of golden oldies is expected on Wednesday when a special \u201cfirst come first served\u201d 36-hour online presale opens for every venue on the Stones\u2019 Hackney Diamonds Tour, which opens in Houston, Texas on April 28 and ends in Santa Clara, California on July 17.<\/p>\n
Fans under fifty who aren\u2019t AARP members will have to wait until Friday to snap-up tickets for the concert series that some have already dubbed Steel Wheelchairs after the band\u2019s famous 1989\/90 Steel Wheels Tour.<\/p>\n
