ITV My Mum, Your Dads Roger celebrates rarely-seen daughter Alexs birthday with Janey

My Mum, Your Dad star Roger Hawes has shown fans that girlfriend Janey Smith continues to be a big part of his family life as the couple celebrated his daughter Alex's 27th birthday.

Viewers of the ITV dating series will be more familiar with Roger's older daughter Jess, 28, who appeared with him on the show where she nominated her widowed dad to find love again.

But on Wednesday, 13 December, it was all about Alex as Roger, 59, and Janey, 47, joined her and other family members for a birthday celebration where they all downed shots together.

Roger shared the happy family celebration on his Instagram Stories which showed Janey sitting by his side as they downed what looked to be tequila shots in unison with the rest of the guests and both winced as they bit into wedges of lime.

The TV star, who warmed viewers' hearts by finding love again on the show, captioned it: "Birthday celebrations for my beautiful daughter Alex."

He also shared that they had been in Nottingham for the party, and the group looked to have visited a Christmas market as they sat around a log cabin booth, with Janey wrapped up warmly in a bobble hat.

Roger is also dad to youngest child Ben, 22, while Janey appeared on My Mum, Your Dad with her own son, Will.

They are the only couple from the show to have stayed together and in an interview with This Morning, explained how they were navigating a long-distance relationship as Janey lives in West Sussex while Roger is in Derbyshire.

Janey said: "We have met each other and without sounding sad, we do want to be together! There will be lots of holidays. At the moment we are at each other's houses, we've not been apart for a very long time!'

Talking to OK! about going on the dating show, Janey admitted: "I definitely went in looking for love!" while Roger said: " I didn’t know what to expect, I was just winging it basically… but it’s been the best surprise of my life!"

Sharing their Christmas plans, Janey said: "I think he'll be with his family for the day and I'll be with mine, we'll meet up Christmas evening and bring the families together.

"We just want to spend time together that's the main thing and we just want to have a lovely time and enjoy things together. We're both aware of how lucky we are that this has happened."
