Jeff Stelling has revealed he has been left “heartbroken” after the death of his beloved dog Stan.
Taking to X (Twitter), the Soccer Saturday legend shared a sweet picture of his late pooch looking out at a rainbow on the beach.
Jeff captioned the photo: “Heartbroken today. Stan lost his battle. For 12 years he gave us unconditional love.
“He was never aggressive, even with our cats and welcomed everyone with a Croc in his mouth and a furious tail wagging.
“We tried everything but in the end there was nothing left we could do,” he added sadly.ย

In another update, he penned: “Thanks to all the kind people for their comments about my dog Stan. Many asked for updates.
“He had blood transfusions overnight and has tubes coming from everywhere you can imagine. It is very hard to see.
“But he is hanging on in while the vets try and find the causes of illness,” he added at the time.
However, Jeff has sadly since shared that Stan has died at the age of 12, and messages of support have come flooding in as a result.
